Description

The Contract consists of the provision of safety trained staff for lineside housekeeping on the operational railway.

Generally the work consists of:

  • Vegetation clearance and graffiti removal
  • The cleaning and painting of lineside structures, boundary walls, underpasses and footbridges, cabinets, huts and cabins
  • The removal of lineside rubbish, debris and scrap to licensed tips
  • The provision and installation of signage for speed safety and warning signals on track and at level crossing points
  • The provision and installation of lineside fencing to Network Rail specification
