Description
The Contract consists of the provision of railway safety trained staff to undertake lineside vegetation clearance and tree management.
Generally the work consists of:
- Site Investigations
- Survey work to identify the extent of the scope
- Method statements & possession management
- The clearing and lopping of trees
- The lifting of branches to promote healthy well shaped stable trees
- The felling of species of deciduous trees to reduce leaf fall lineside of the
operational railway including Ash, Sycamore, Poplar, Chestnut, Lime and Crack Willow
- The removal of vegetation from structures
- Installation of leaf fall catch fencing
- Works also include litter picking and rubbish clearance
