Description
The Contract consists of a series of refurbishment projects to failed HV cable protection. The work is carried out in the vicinity of high voltage cables (traction and domestic) and compliance with the Network Rail requirements for undertaking works in the vicinity of high voltage cables was strictly adhered to.
Generally the work consists of:
- Site surveys / Identify the extent and scope of work
- The provision of detailed programmes
- Manpower histograms
- Determine possession requirements
- Establish and complete design
- Method statement and Health & Safety Plan
- The refurbishment of cable routes protecting oil insulated HV cables and pilot cables
- The renewal and refurbishment of support structures
- Installation of HV cables and troughing
- Construction of under track crossings
