Project Manager (Buildings)

Based at our Basingstoke regional office, covering sites in the south of England, this is an unrivalled opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join one of the leading SME contractors in the south east of England.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will be reporting to the Business Manager and will be the face of B&M McHugh on site and responsible for the whole project. Essentially, you will be responsible for the development and progression of the programme, ensuring that it is delivered safely to time and budget. This role will suit an experienced Site Manager looking for progression from their current role or for an established Project Manager.

You will be accountable for:

· Tendering of building works generated throughout a number of the existing frameworks which the company has in place, as well as building up the company’s portfolio of works of a similar nature.

· Ensuring that the project requirements, specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals are all read, understood and agreed and that a project program is in place

· Assisting in the preparation of Health and Safety Plans, Quality Plans and Method Statements.

· Producing labour schedules in conjunction with the BM.

· Supervise and manage all site-based operations, overseeing all aspects of work.

· Checking that all materials used, including those used by sub contractors, are compliant with technical and quality specifications.

· Ensuring compliance with client specifications, method statements, industry standards and legislation on site.

· Supervising, checking and monitoring quality at all times, maintaining a snagging list and ensuring all snags are closed out in a timely manner.

· Reporting of weekly progress against programme.

· Interface with external clients.

B & M McHugh will support the successful candidate with developing their career through internal and external training programme and individual learning.

Salary; Dependant on experience. Vehicle allowance. Excellent Pension.
