Technical Quoter - Permanent
Location: The role will be based out of our New Eltham office (SE9 3UL).
Overview:
This is great opportunity for an experienced Technical Quoter to join one of the leading SME contractors in the south east of England. The role will be predominantly managing the quoting function for works on our Bexley and Bromley building maintenance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring profitable quotes for works are compiled accurately and submitted on time.
• Responsible for regularly and accurately maintaining the quote trackers and schedules.
• Liaise with supply chain to obtain costs and programmes to support quotes to the clients.
• Liaising with project teams as necessary.
• Carry out site visit as necessary to properly ascertain scope of works.
• Regular Interface with the client and their teams
• Prepare and submit progress reports, financial statements, and other documentation as required.
• Highlighting and avoiding/mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities
• Assist with compiling monthly applications to the clients.
• Assist with compiling monthly payment notices to sub-contractors
Candidate Profile: It is envisaged that the successful candidate will ideally have the following:
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Good technical understanding of building maintenance and reactive works especially Fabric, Mechanical and Electrical works.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use Microsoft packages with good report writing skills
• Self-driven and results-oriented individual with a positive outlook
