The role will be based out of our New Eltham (SE9 3UL) office.

Overview:

This is an unrivalled opportunity for an experienced Technical Quoter to join one of the leading SME contractors in the South and East of England.

You will play a key role in supporting the commercial function by preparing quotes, managing client applications, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring accurate financial tracking on our building maintenance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring profitable quotes for works are submitted on time

• Liaise with project teams and supply chain to obtain costs and programmes to support quotes

  • Carry out site visits as necessary to properly ascertain scope of works
  • Maintaining the quote trackers
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, follow up on approvals, and ensure smooth communication.
  • Compile monthly applications to our clients
  • Assist with compiling monthly payment notices to sub-contractors
  • Conduct regular profit and loss (P&L) checks on individual jobs to ensure financial accuracy and performance are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing of quotes, applications, and client correspondence.
  • Engage with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate better deals on materials and services, and ensure best value for the business.

Skills/Expertise:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial or administrative role (ideally within facilities management or construction).
  • Some technical understanding of building maintenance and reactive works especially Fabric, Mechanical and Electrical works
  • A team player, operating cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness
  • Communicates effectively and able to speak, listen and write in good English and in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication techniques and tools
  • IT proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel and Word
