Team McHugh embracing the ultimate challenge!

CSRMay 12, 2022

A team of us are taking on the challenging Three Peaks in June for a fantastic charity - Railway Children.

The event starts on Thursday 9th June, when we travel by train to Snowdon (1085m high), where we begin the challenge by climbing at night! This climb requires us to walk approximately 6km to the summit before our descent back down.

After making our way back down Snowdon, we will then travel by train over to Scafell Pike (978m high), where we have to do a 7km walk before we have even reached the bottom of the mountain! Once at the bottom, we will have a 4km climb to the top, and then the descent back down.

This is where we then get the chance to have some sleep on the train as we head up to Ben Nevis in Scotland (1345m high). Once there, we will be walking approximately 7.5km, before we then have to walk back down and head to the train station to begin our journey home on Saturday afternoon.

This is a tough and challenging event for us all but is all for a great cause. You can find out more about the Railway Children and the work that they do from this video (Bethan's story - YouTube).

We would really appreciate your help in helping us reach our £4000 target, so if you have a couple of quid to spare, please sponsor us via our Just Giving Page.
